“Our society needs the person in this picture [left] plus her two accomplices put away for at least as long as Amanda Knox and her accomplices. Minimum 25 years.
Who will stand up and call it for what it was? Murder. This was a murder because they didn’t stop, even when they could see major damage [...]

Perhaps this blog has posted on the McCanns before, perhaps it hasn’t, I can’t remember. However, today it’s going to. Unlike the Knox conviction where it was pretty clear in the end, this one is not clear and your humble blogger is dead centre on the issue, not knowing one way or the other.
As with [...]

Scouting around to tie up some loose ends, certain things came up that haven’t been mentioned on this blog to date:

This link takes you to all posts on this blog mentioning Meredith Kercher. To save you the trouble, the best analysis, leaving my posts aside, is that of the latter commenters on Why I Think Amanda Knox is Guilty, where everyone leaves aside the infighting and starts to look again at the evidence itself.
Interesting snippets:

It was not my intention to post again on this but a commenter replied and it has to be answered. The commenter cannot accept that an “innocent girl” can be a cold blooded murderess and so blames the prosecution and brings in defendent testimony as evidence.

IMHO, she’s as guilty as sin, not only on account of the circumstantial and that there has been one conviction already but because of [...]

What do people do when they don’t like a message – they click out and go somewhere which says something they wish to hear. This is a weird youtube, no picture but a sped up chipmunky type voice which I think does get down to the issue quite well:
The central and abiding question is why [...]

Interesting issue [for some of us] here. It reminds me very much of an incident I was caught up in.
This continues on from the previous post on it. There were strong opinions that Polanski should be pursued to the end and some ladies felt no, leave it alone. Some gents were not [...]

Short post this morning, two quick stories:
1. Polanski : la victime demande l’abandon des poursuites
I’m assuming you understand the French. Pretty clear choice. In my book it was a crime the way he did it but many would say it was a crime whichever way it was done, even if she’d consented. [...]

Women are not a special sacrosanct group in society, for goodness sake – they are one half of society and among them are the intelligent, stupid, long, short, fat and thin, strong and weak, just as with men.
There are differences in temperament which are gender based – men tend to have a certain mindset or [...]
