And the question everyone has failed to ask:
The grandparents were there on both sides but where was Princess Pippa?

Waiting at Nottingham Cottage, in the grounds of Kensington Palace to greet them when they got the baby home. I get the feeling she didn’t want to be a distraction to the MSM and rain on her sister’s parade. No Harry either but there are suggestions that he is back in Afghanistan so couldn’t be here anyway.
Personally, I thought the young couple handled it really well. Some time on their own to adjust to a monumental change in their lives and relationship before family and the media intrudes. Her nod to Diana wearing a polka dot dress, not afraid of showing her ‘mummy tummy’ and William dressed down rather than formal was very much a sign of how they mean to go on. He drove them home where there will be no nanny either. As normal as it is possible to be in their circumstances. The American Thinker blog only shows the lack of knowledge and understanding in some Americans of what this means to most of us in the UK.
The Queen went to see her new great grandson today. That seems to be a bit of a break with protocol as usually you go to see her, not the other way round. And needless to say the speculation is all about where the baby’s first Christmas will be. A taste of things to come.
Couldn’t give a fig.. Like JH I’m a republican with a small “r”, I just want the real news back on my screen and in my paper not some baby b******s.
I am disappointed that they honoured Mountbatten but not Diana with either Francis or Spencer. It does not seem to me that Wills and Kate named this child. And we all know what the royals thought of the Spencers.
