The new male
Horrific video of ‘police beating prostitutes until they are nearly unconscious’ provokes outrage in Thailand
In Heaven’s name, why? Why are they doing this? Are they so insecure as men that they must resort to violence?
There seem four different types of men now.
The first are largely unreconstructed, they see what’s been going on, see how women have been carrying on and don’t value them at all, they’re dismayed how the government has got behind the worst women and promoted them and their ideas and so on.
In a situation of danger for the women, the chivalry will still kick in though, it’s hardwired into these men, despite what they think of women today. Even as the woman is saying, “I don’t need your help, I can do everything myself,” those men will still be at hand to help.
If they’re still in the area.
Or else, like Chas and Dave, they’ve just had enough and go off on their own for peace and quiet. And when these men do that, then they are not where women need them most. They are at home or having a pint with mates but they’re not where the liberated woman is and so they never get to stop the yahoos.
This category includes me.
There are other unreconstructed men about, far less hardwired from childhood with the chivalry thing who say, about women, “F*** ‘em.” Raised on a diet of porn, bad food and dark vid-games, they’re sugar-fed to rage and if they see a chance to humiliate women, to assert their power, they will. They hang around in gangs, such as the Asian grooming gangs and thuggish police – this category is where women’s main trouble is coming from.
Quite a few of the first category won’t lift a finger now. When the second category are out looking for victims, the women’s “I am woman, hear me roar” plays right into the hands of their predators. And where are the first category men? Off doing their own thing of course, marginalized and ignored.
Then there’s the third category, the husband.
Look, women can be provocative, they can be infuriating, they can be impossible and some even admit that that’s so.
Why can’t husbands do as I did and storm out of the house, with her words, “Running away, are you?” ringing in the ears? The answer to that, of course, is that if I didn’t storm out, I’d physically harm her. Maybe that’s what she wanted in order to create the moral low-ground and have a hold on me. It seems a simple enough solution, plus the determination to rise above it and not descend to the woman’s level.
I was once arguing with my gf in Russia in the car because she was basically wrong in what she was saying and she stopped me by saying, “You need to stop arguing with me. Why are you arguing with a woman? Rise above it.” That last bit was right. Husbands learn how to do it after a while.
But this thing in Thailand, in India, even over here – no man of decency could do that. Trouble is, there are so many men “not of decency” now and it’s not hard to see why.
The fourth type I really struggle to respect. Poor sods are the new Generation and a half who are metro, soft, SNAGgy, full of the Narrative which gives them a weird perspective mixed in with their natural chivalry and they’re well nigh useless. Radical women have bred these, schoolteachers have pushed and pushed them to be emasculated and frankly … they’re wet. Met one of those in town today.
………..
Eventually, women will have to come to terms with the horrifying fact that they can’t just move around freely any more, with impunity – in fact, none of us can. There was that 999 story of Julia’s about the big guy who called for help. I’m pretty confident in myself but I’m also fully cognisant that I can still be hurt if I get it wrong.
Some women, many women, are oblivious. They are putting faith in a Narrative to protect them. The yahoos won’t protect them, the wimps won’t and the first lot won’t be around to. And they do increasingly need it. They’re going to have to rethink their choice of partner. Maybe he will be that bit unreconstructed, maybe he will have a touch of chauvinism but he’ll also be chivalrous and the big factor – he’ll have cojones and will do what is needed.
Trouble is, from what I see today, that sort of man is thin on the ground at lower ages. Sure they exist – look at sportsmen who are gentlemen, e.g. Federer but as I say, the numbers are thinning out as we die off. And women have p***ed us off anyway so that the chances of interface are far less. One woman asked where all the good men had gone. One man replied – we cross the road when we see you coming.
Women of Gen Y and Z will really have to wake up somehow but how? From the mother who mollycoddles and brings the child up gender neutral to the “everyone must have prizes” and “no one must be sad” teachers to the really nasty vid games, music and films today, to the lack of any sort of behavioural limits – just where is the girl going to find the right sort of boy, of man?
She’s not going to find him around at 1:00 a.m. outside a nightclub for a start. And once he’s dipped the wick and got her preggers, he’ll be off, won’t he? And there’ll be no father at home to chase the young man and make him do the right thing. That was a thing of the past when unreconstructed males were still not divorced by women who wanted it all and who would take their responsibilities seriously.
Women of Gen Y and Z are going to have to break from the Narrative soaked Boomer and Gen Y women and return to the natural order. Who knows, it might even return to fathers in families again and girls bringing the boys home to meet them etc. And when she goes out with him, within defined limits, she’ll be as safe as anyone in that situation can be.
And with men around taking their responsibilities once more, the yahoo gangs will be gradually snuffed out.
………..
None of which addresses the issue of prostitutes and their vulnerability. That’s a case of men rediscovering decency to the point there would be a culture which would prevail in which no policeman would dare act that way for fear of his peers. But to get back to that, both sexes must change and the PTB must be brought down.

“One man replied – we cross the road when we see you coming.”
That was me.
I do not see the move ‘back’ to the way things were. Feminism has shown clearly, amongst many aspects of womanhood, that the marriage biz was a con with men doing their damnest but being damned anyway.
Another thing I have said, and often, is that while men may occasionally fart in bed, much to women’s ‘disgust’, women have shat in it.
The actions of ‘police’ in Thailand and even far closer to home are totally unconscionable. There is a decline into wickedness all around. It is not just a matter of male police either. Female police (in America) have appeared on You Tube beating men and women with their night sticks and taking out their guns for no rational reason when talking to people on the street. It starts with both genders of cops setting off from the top of the slippery slope by vastly overstepping any authority they think they have, making up ridiculous rules as they go along, ‘ordering’ people who are simply going about their lawful occasions to ‘move on’ or “stop filming me: I don’t like it and you are not allowed”.
I can see the hand of women in the decline, of course, but I do not see women as being the instigators of the decline that has happened over the past 60 years. They are the main (by sheer numbers) who have gone along with every demeaning, dismissal of men, even good, sound men. Their sneers whenever a man raises a logical point; their demands for privilege where fairness is more appropriate; their grasping of the laxity of the ‘family court’ and the ease of lying so that innocent men are severely punished; even the way they refuse to see the sheer insult to themselves when the lefties demand (on the women’s behalf) for all-woman political selection lists: all are the marks of a complete disregard for the famed ‘eeekwalleteee’ they shout for, and the oil that greases their slide down the slope.
Maybe that’s what she wanted in order to create the moral low-ground and have a hold on me.
That struck a chord,
When the ex announced unilaterally that it was over after 7 years, because her psychiatrist (female) and friends (divorced, now single, female) felt I was ‘holding her back’ I just accepted it and walked away as it was not worth trying to counter the stream of ‘new woman’ narrative she had been infected with.
I always felt that she wished I had blown up , Even though I never raised my voice and certainly not ever a hand to her. When I wanted to collect stuff from the flat , I had to give prior notice so she could ‘have someone there’ with her. This I assume so she could build the narrative that I was potentially abusive and was therefore justified in calling it all off.
When she realised that I just didn’t care about her any more , I was able to just drop by with a phone call , but I could sense her disappointment that I had not risen to the stereotype and at least made it a two sided split and the onus was still all on her.
James, Thai or any prostiutes are pretty far from liberated? I think they are mostly unlucky people who ran out of other viable choices.
Also I saw this program on tv that said that many Thai prostitutes were in fact “ladyboys”
But if that person, that human being in the picture is a girl or a ladyboy or whatever they happen to be it is not right or acceptable to beat on them. It is… wrong. There is something feral and deeply wrong with it and anyone who did it.
No one on their own could hope to be able to defend agaisnt something like that. No one should expect that, not in any decent society. And we are not talking Men in general here really are we? The prostitute was not attacked by some random gang of guys. We are talking paramilitary police.
And slightly different subject on the comments.
Guys you can tell each other “war stories” about less than perfect women or wives, but guess what? Girls can do just the same about less than perfect men or husbands.
We are not all, always perfect, all the time… both men and women can be less than perfect. Anyways we can still try to be better people.
Some can be pretty good.
I am quite sure it is faulty reasoning to blame all guys, or all girls, for any actions of one or some.
Just a quick spot of reality on the mail article. The sad fact is that those Burmese hookers were not paying the police their cut. As I recollect, in Thailand the police have the hookers the military the drugs.
Amfortas – “There is a decline into wickedness all around.” Yes.
PC – sincere thanks for that. It explains a lot.
Moggsy – I hate seeing anyone or animals maltreated.
Bob – Ah … right.

I was raised that men protected women and children; they didn’t brutalize them. As far as I’m concerned, guys who beat up women are piss-poor examples of men, and I refuse to refer to them as anything more than animals.
Just my opinion.
All the men I know in my circle are proper men and would react just as you have, Bob G. It’s just inconceivable to act that way.
James Higham recently posted…The Bolshoi and the reality of life
Civilized conduct is a combination of self-respect and an adherence to some kind of social contract. When both are eroded to the point where only the animal urges prevail, the human being trapped inside is a hostage to whatever grants power to the organism and its obsession with survival, whatever the cost to decency or compassion.
Kindness is not natural, it is a chosen ethic of a healthy spirit. Not ever having any exposure to the reasons for kindness is a great human tragedy, with no known cure.
This is why social engineering is destined for failure. “The common good” is nothing but a slogan when collectivist ideals are held above true individual integrity.
You’ll notice certain regular commenters conspicuous by their absence, i.e. they’ve faded away. Maybe I have it terribly wrong but could it be that they do not support the sentiments displayed in this thread?

BobG, Absolutely.
framersquool, Gotta disagre with you.
There is evidence that some kindness is ‘natural’ and promotes survival. I think I have seen it in published papers with mentions in SciAm and other places but typically cant find them quickly looking.
Just cos I feel the State breaks it’s ‘Contracts’ with me will not turn me into an “animal”, Tho maybe not such a bad thing, on the whole, in my experience, animals can often be nicer company than humans.
