The average height for a lady in those days was probably more around 5′ than today’s 5’6″ so a lady’s curves were more pronounced. Also photography even then made anyone look bigger. At least they aren’t the stick insects that have been so popular as clothes horses these days.
You’d say they have a bit of oomph to them then, Rossa?
