Doug and Dave didn’t do all the crop circles after all
Aussie historian believes he has buried forever the ‘cereal’ lie that crop circles are the work of hoaxers – by unearthing Black Country images of them dating back to 1945 and beyond.
“This discovery proves that claims by various artists to be the sole creators of crop circles are themselves a hoax,” he says.
“It just goes to show that the circles remain unexplained.
“I hope this discovery will stimulate renewed interest in crop circles by serious scientific researchers who have been fooled by the hoax claims.”
The Ministry of Defence … up to 1990, blamed all crop circles on two pensioners named Doug and Dave.
The theory was debunked when the structures, which some claim have healing qualities, appeared as far afield as California and Western Australia.
In fact, they have been spotted in 29 countries, created out of wheat, barley, linseed, rice paddies and even ice.
Doug and Dave only had bus passes.
I knew Doug and Dave could not possibly have done them all.

Dougs and Daves are everywhere.
Thats rubbish.
Taking the pictures as they come in the original article, the first is obviously a road and some hard standing structure (these are wartime photos remember, there were odd bits of concrete dotted all over the UK). The second is the effect of ancient earthworks on grass growth in a dry summer (we don’t have those an the moment so you don’t see the effect much these days – archaeologists love a hot dry summer because it reveals all sorts of stuff on aerial photos). The third could be anything, a round structure of some sort. The fourth is a depression in the ground (hence the slight shadow) – most probably a small on farm quarry, very common in those days before planning permission was needed for such things. The fifth and sixth are very similar, and I’ll admit I can’t see any obvious reason as to what they are. But to jump from that to ‘Aliens have landed!’ is nonsense.
Meanwhile, in Japan-

Several people have claimed to be ‘circlemakers’
So here is a simple way to solve the mystery:- take the most complicated crop circle (i.e. one featuring phi ratio curves) and replicate it.
Overnight.
That would prove that crop circles are man-made. If the ‘circlemakers’ cannot or are unwilling to do it under controlled conditions then the mystery remains.
And if they can do it without a trace they were there then that will end the controversy.

I read and observe with interest and a smile.

What we really need are some alien spaceships. Preferably one or two different models so we can land them in cornfields and check out the patterns.

All it tells me is that people have had too much time on their hands for longer than we previously thought.

I asked my friend Aileen the Alien. She said: “Doug and Dave are the hybrid guys who fly our Crop Pattern Maker Craft. They are terrible jokers. They do like a double-hoax and a false flag joke. They may look like pensioners to you but to us they are just naughty kids.”
So now that this explanation has been put up here on the internet it must be true, according to the criteria many seem to apply (though few seem to believe my true stories).
There are some I think think are obviously fake. Others less obviously fake, but by looking at them I think they might be a trick.
Others defy the logic of what we currently know. Those are the ones that interest me the most
For example, this one…

There are dots in the middle of the corn that have no pathway to them. There are many such examples available…

“There are dots in the middle of the corn that have no pathway to them.”
True, but these dots are a mere tiny step or jump away from other dots that do have pathways to them. There are some intriguing and at first sight reliable reports (such as from pilots) of complex structures appearing in a very short time though. Tis a shame that humans are such pranksters though, perhaps.
More to explore DQ, some things don’t quite add up…
And no I don’t have any theory or thought in mind (although there are lots of them about).
I would just like a valid explanation to the ones that to me defy logic

Just as an aside…
I wonder why when I post three dots in my comments only two appear…
For example after ‘things just don’t add up’. In my previous comment.
And twice in this comment.
Three dots always turn into two!

Possibly I’m just strange but there appear to be three dots to me.

I suppose that depends on exactly where you are looking for the dots

According to Aileen… and she is sure someone will join up the dots and make something out of them.
She’s obviously a lady of finesse.

That ?pinnacle or ?point
1,3,5,7 then 6,3,1
Symmetry…
But some asymmetry prior to 1,3,5,7…
1,1 2 2,2 3,3,3 4,4,4
then stuff in the middle?
Is she trying to tell us something?
She’s too clever for me.
How curious! I am on my lap top now and the dots are not as I see them on my main machine!
Aileen seems to be ahead of the game as far as we are concerned

CherryPie, are they microdots?
Spots before the eyes?

@Amfortas
You have me quite worried now. I used to be able to read the message within the microdot. Now I can’t even see the dot!!
