Niagara Falls and climate change

This is one of those forwarded ones via  Ian Parker-Joseph and it makes one think about climate.   Just what it makes one think is another question.    It’s the Niagara Falls over 100 years ago:

    The climate changes over time. It always has done.

    It causes extinctions and migrations etc

    Rossa’s Mum told her the other day that someone has mapped the current and most recent Sun cycles over those recorded at the time of the last mini ice age and the correlation is as near exact as you can make it.

    Both the Dalton and Maunder minimums were at the turn of a century. So why wouldn’t there be a possibility that we’re heading into another mini ice age? And just when the energy costs to keep warm are expected to double in the next few years. Windmills don’t usually turn when iced up! Maybe that will be another photograph of note in 2111. Instead of Niagara Falls, a windfarm frozen solid marking mankind’s folly.

    A taste of things to come starts this month coming when 5 of our power stations are fully decommissioned under the EU rules on CO2. What’s the betting that once the power cuts start this debate gets a bit more ‘heated’!
