New York then and now

I look at the old photos and wonder about each of those people. Each had a life, each was in a certain mood that day, there might have been gastric trouble, domestic trouble, there might have just been a windfall. they might have been just about to die. i look at their life span and then look at my own. I too will also be on earth for this limited span, able to be photographed in passing like that, eventually to be long gone.

I was in the Big Apple 1970′ish numerous times.
Only thing/place I love in USofA.
I love comparison pictures like this. I have a book ‘Every Now & Then’ It shows Whitby as it was (photos taken by Frank Meadow Sutcliffe) and how it is now.
Haven’t been there – should have but never did on my travels.
Whitby – in some ways it’s just the same.
