MPs are morally responsible people as we all know and so they are asking why large corporations who do business in this country are using legal loopholes to minimise their tax liability.
Legal loopholes left there by MPs. (Our parliamentary representatives would never dream of doing such things, of course.)
Speaking as one who was well and truly stitched up by the Inland Revenue many years ago I say good for those companies.
There is nothing immoral about dodging the Taxman, we would all do the same given the chance and those of us who have worked overseas have done so when we were paid free of tax in the Middle East or elsewhere.
This is merely a consequence of companies spreading out into the ‘global marketplace’ and operating in many different countries.
There is a very simple way to stop such things and that is by taxing locations instead of production – locations cannot be moved overseas for tax avoidance purposes.
This will never happen because it would require a co-ordinated effort by all countries in which these big corporations operate.
Did I hear you say New World Order? Well it is either that or the corporate takeover of the world.
Or are they one and the same??
