Olympics venues are “stuffed to the gunnels” with sports fans, London 2012 chairman Lord Coe has insisted amid a row over empty seats.
Well that’s alright then.
Very well done Lizzie, the team rode well and only as admitted by the girl herself slight blip in the sprint finish behind the best woman cyclist of the generation.
Atrocious conditions and an exciting race all the girls did well.
And another medal in the wet. Becky Adlington gets a bronze in the 400m and may have another medal in the 800m. Good start by the ladies.
Men’s gymnastic team also well placed even beating China to 3rd place for the final. Ladies also through.
Ben got 2 good places in his initial races but as you and he says it is over the 10 races but at least the conditions seemed to be good for him. He got all the sunshine while it rained on Lizzie’s parade.
Oh dear – today wasn’t too good.
