Silly Week #4

Catering for diversity:

The world’s first ice cream van for dogs opened for business at a pet party” in London’s Regent’s Park.  The van served canine-friendly flavors such as “Dog Eat Hog World” — a chicken and gammon sorbet — and “Canine Cookie Crunch,” a more traditional vanilla ice cream, albeit sprinkled with dog biscuits.

And in other news:

An Elvis Presley statue, taken earlier this month from the roof of a Maryland diner, was recovered Tuesday between two angels at a nearby cemetery. Baltimore County police say a customer found the 80-pound statue at the Faith Cemetery in Overlea and returned it to the diner. Police say the customer is not considered a suspect. The now footless Elvis — its feet were left bolted to the diner roof — was taken earlier this month from the Happy Day Diner in suburban Baltimore.

  3. Are you absolutely sure that this is not really Sensible Week? In your typical double-agent kind of a way (I do have you sussed) I am beginning to suspect that for Silly Week you’ve just decided to be more sensible for a change. But I miss some of the usual silliness a bit, so I do look forward to it returning soon.
