Going back a few decades to my university leftist , Rik Mayall days, with football and parties thrown in for good measure, it was a Saturday afternoon, my mate and I had our beers at the ready and the game came on live. About half time, with us making learned remarks about the players in [...]

Part 2 is here. Part 3 concerns the next stage in the nobbling of society [with the demise of the Soviet Union, which had served its purpose]. In 1984, Marxist-Leninism expressed itself still through the Soviet Union, China to come later, of course. The real force, in the sense of organizing the new order of [...]

This began as a commentary on the news [which has already been covered before in another paper]: The national cyclists’ organisation CTC said that 10 of the 13 people who died in cycling accidents in the capital last year were women and eight were killed by heavy goods vehicles. Yet there are around three times [...]

Was there ever a blogger as laid back as Bob G? Hailing from West Valley City, Utah, he is responsible for such occasional gems as: # The Rain Man has died; I didn’t even know he lived here in Salt Lake. # I’ve been keeping up on the progress on the so-called Healthcare Bill; can’t [...]

Mike who? If you’re English [or even from the UK], perhaps you should know he was the youngest around the world by yacht until Jessica Watson just completed her trip and now he’s also her boyfriend. She’s nice enough but it wasn’t until this week that she acknowledged the tie and as for him – [...]

First up, we have this, from Perth: Australia has long been a cohesive society based on Anglo-Christian values together with the special values of fair-go, mateship and egalitarianism that define being Australian. Under the past government policy of assimilation, successive waves of immigrants were encouraged to adopt these values while not rejecting their own cultures.

If this was a reactive post, then the one below is a more serious attempt to address the issues raised by those monstrosities Wienerville and Hemlock. Early days Harold Wilson, that fine, upstanding gent who spoke of the pound in your pocket was also quoted as saying: “The Britain that is going to be forged [...]

Brits and Australians have been seen as racist by some cultures and there’s certainly a tendency in island nations to be more insular, shall we say but there has also been another phenomenon – Race Crime Denial [RCD]. Apparently, in Australia at the moment there is widespread Asian gang violence and as the authorities [Labor [...]

Trouble with a capital T . For once, a sensible and logical survey. Researchers have found that if the man of the house is less happy than his wife then the couple are much less likely to split up. Alternatively if the husband is much happier, then his partner is much more likely to leave [...]

There’s a scene in Pyramids of Mars when Laurence Scarman, amateur scientist, can’t come to terms with the fact that his beloved Egytologist brother, Marcus, is no more but is in fact a servant of the evil Sutekh, despite still outwardly looking like Marcus. Similarly, it has taken this long for the Tories to wake [...]

There’s a wonderful Russian word ужас [u'zhas] which literally means “nightmare” but it’s much more than that. Anything which is appalling or which offends the sensibilities causes you to mutter ужас or if you prefer, the adjective: uzhas’no. We just don’t have such a succinct summation in our language … yet. That’s my tuppence halfpenny [...]

Come back, Jane Churm and tell us all … One of the banes of modern life, particularly in the internet age, is shoddy scholarship. It’s only logical, given my background, that I should be concerned with this and thus, in a way not dissimilar to Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged, whose purpose in life was to [...]

CFR members in the oval office Those who know nothing of the SPPNA might look, first of all, at the pdf put out by the CFR, the insidious organization behind all bar a few presidents of the U.S.A. and extending into all aspects of American public and private life. The roll call of past and [...]

The Thai violence has implications for us, as it signals a new form of politics now making its presence felt in western nations, with the most extreme example being the UK. Whilst we still don’t have the street violence … yet … we do have the other trappings in place: Draconian laws on all sorts [...]

A friend recently questioned why I continue to beat the head against a brick wall with people who are clearly not interested in genuine debate, in bringing fresh facts to the table but are only interested in sweeping in, not having read anything of the argument, with groundless assertion, insults and emotion. North Northwester has [...]

Two years ago, I returned to Blighty after a stint in Russia, for whom draconian legislation was not unknown in the Soviet era but has now become more rational in many ways. Their rubbish system is to take the bin out to the rubbish chute and tip the contents down there. Twice a week, the [...]

Steve Hayes asks the question: “What are “the NWO colours”, and what is their significance?” Let me use six sites to illustrate this: Common Purpose, the SPPNA, the CIA, Share International, World Service Intergroup and The Center for Visionary Leadership, all groups who have been cited as nefarious by quite a few writers in print [...]
