The mystique of the English girl
OK … so last evening I ran the haka with the English and the haka with the Welsh. In the interests of balance, I threw in a youtube of Tahitian girls dancing.
Now, I thought, “People aren’t going to like that I’m always showing Russian, French or Tahitian girls. How about some English girls for a change? Yea!!!!”
So, I went to youtube and typed in “English girls”. Here are the youtubes which came up:
English girls speak Polish, slutty English girl in public, English Girls Smoking, Drunk English Girls @ Gran Canaria 2007, 2 English girls deliberately cheesy, definitely drunk: Emma and Hannah’s embarrassing rendition of “wannabe” by the spicegirls … and that was the first page.
I’m thinking to myself at this point that there have to be, somewhere in England, girls who are not slutty, gauche, flabby, drunk or being silly. All I want is a company of English honeys dancing, to match the Tahitians last evening. Please? Aren’t there ANY exotic English girls out there?
Any at all?
Page 2 – nope. Lots of Japanese and Korean girls. OK, let’s add the word “dance”. Here we go:
Ready for the pub. No, that’s not what I was looking for … I didn’t mean half undressed; I meant fully dressed and graceful.
Look, let’s get this straight, English girls – by “exotic”, I mean having “allure”, you know … being mysterious, being femme fatale.
This is NOT what I mean by “allure”, girls.
All right, let’s type in “English mystique”. First page – nothing. Second page – one with a girl having almost taken her clothes off again. Sigh. Sorry, love, that’s not mystique either. There’s another word for that.
OK – last shot at this. I’ll type in “English Rose”.
And here she is, the English Rose and her vid called How to: Big, Sexy, Volume Hairstyle with Babyliss Hot Rollers – style, grace, chic, deportment and alluring accent. Not.
Sigh … I give up.
[Brainwave strikes, like a smackeroo blurby] I know where to find at least one exotic English girl [da da] and here she is, ladies and gentlemen, complete with rose. Take it away, Jane:

I suppose if you tried “gels” you’d just get unguents?
I think the concept of English Rose has been lost in the mists of time. I don’t think there will be many on YouTube.
I would suggest the Royal Ballet but a lot of the leads aren’t English!
I don’t think nice English girls cavort on youtube!

Birkin was first married from 1965 until 1968 to John Barry, the English composer who wrote the musical score to the James Bond movies. Their daughter, the photographer Kate Barry, was born on April 8, 1967.
She had a passionate and creative relationship with her mentor Serge Gainsbourg — they met on the set of Slogan. They separated in 1980. Their daughter is actress and singer Charlotte Gainsbourg. She was born on July 22, 1971
On September 6, 1982 she gave birth to her third daughter, Lou Doillon, from her relationship with the director Jacques Doillon.
Married three times, children with each man. Great example.
A common theme in conversation with foreign women in London is what a sham British women are. Fat, self obsessed, dirty (not that way) and lazy. Whereas there are still British men who outshine their foreign counterparts.
I can see I am going to have to try and get that photo I promised Calum scanned in somehow!
The Lido in Paris has always had a lot of exotic English dancing girls.
OK Madame Bluebell was Irish but her dancers-
“…must have extensive ballet training; must be beautiful and long-legged; and must be 5′8 or taller.”
…and a lot of English girls meet those requirements.
“Fat, self obsessed, dirty (not that way) and lazy” no the description that applies to the woman I first met on December 1981.
Ah but you got the pick of the crop.
*Ahem* Need I say more?
