Ach I never counted the number of symbols on the Stargate. I only saw the first few series of Andromeda
Sci fi is for laddies, 14-24 or so. Ah, I remember it well. Or not so well, actually: I have a lousy memory. Better to say that I well remember the pleasure it gave. It was once my idea that we should replace the preposterous word “kilogram” and call the unit of mass the Asimov.
SciFi is NOT just for teenage laddies. It’s for middle aged ladies too. I LOVE SciFi.
I’m not cheating and looking anything up..
Highly Intelligent Artificial Lifeform – a guess.
I don’t know, but Harrison Ford was lush in Bladerunner
This question does of course depend on whether you mean the main film or the series. Stargate is fab!
Don’t know this one. If it’s Andromeda… that was an awful series.
This one is an oldie. The Day the Earth Stood Still.. terrible film
Missed number 3.
4 out of 5 for me
In contrast to the last commenter I think number 5 (the original) is a brilliant film
I was told, 4+ decades ago, and have since always believed, that HAL is IBM – just one letter back.
That’s much more satisfying an explanation than all this heuristic algorithmic crap.
Best regards
Easy one except the last. Gort said 2/3 of sweet FA. He was the strong silent type. It was Klaatu himself who did all the talking including those instructions to Gort.
You caught it – I was wondering who would.
Don’t like to disappoint.
2. Not bad as I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Except for Blade Runner.
I would really like for Gordon Brown to take a Voight-Kampff test. Just to be sure.

Yes, Gort was the silent robot; Klaatu, the gentleman alien.
Speaking of Dick, have you read “Man in the High Castle”?
Nil points.
