Moggs- they aren't, read Burke one of the first conservatives with his speech to the electors of Bristol.

James- some reasons why they might think you are anti-EU,

1. The letter you address to them contains anti-EU propaganda about a super state swallowing the UK.

2. Most of your supporters are anti-EU- I can't think of a prominent public supporter that you have who isn't anti EU.

In terms of the referendum, it all depends on the question- the way that you have phrased your letters and the way that you have put the question suggests that your question would be biassed towards us leaving the EU.

Lastly I disagree with all this language about traitors to the people etc- many of these people genuinely beleive that staying in is right and that a Referendum is not needed on the EU (as we have had a referendum before and most things in the UK rightly are not decided by referenda). YOu may disagree with their views and you should argue they are wrong but invective is not argument, it merely makes your position looks weak.

What is happening is the fix is being exposed as the political establishment leans on people and thrashes around trying to confuse the message and spread disinformation.

They are powerful, widespread and effective at what they do tho.

Does anyone ever notice that MPs votes often don't seem to really reflect their constituencies views. About all sorts of things. I thought in theory they were supposed to represent the people, not a clique.

Silly me.

Oh crickey, both sides of the bloody Pond are nutty! The politics in America continue to be Washington vs the People, as it appears is occurring in the UK as well. The public has to stop being lazy and use the power of the vote to enforce the fact that a politician's job depends on customer satisfaction.
