Beethoven on Sunday

Sadly, I couldn’t track down Alfred Brendel, the Emperor Piano Concerto but I did find his rendition of the Pastoral Sonata [2nd movement]. For Witterings from Witney:

… and of course the Emperor itself:

Now – the Choral Fantasy:

9th, 3rd movement – let this run on as it clicks over to the next part:

I’ll save the others for another time.

  1. That third Movement of the 9th is silky smooth.

  2. Thank you James. Added bonus: now I can fantasise over the female elements in the Fantasy!

Not being greedy but look forward to part 2!

You have to agree with MTG: that third movement of the 9th is ‘silky smooth’!

Looking at the scenery during the Emperor, do we not have a beautiful world – once you take politicians out of the equation!

  3. I love the video that accompanies the second one. I am sure you knew I would :-)
