Walking disaster now runs for Senate

For what possible reason would you vote in someone like Carly Fiorina?  She’s divisive, incompetent and stubborn in her incompetence, given to buzzwords, catchphrases, the Grand Plan and huge severance packages.

One would have thought the Hewlett-Packard experience would have everyone wary of this move for the Senate.  Psychologist Michael Maccoby called her a “productive narcissist” – in the right place, able to achieve great things, in the wrong place – a total disaster.

The new broom type always is like that when she tries to bludgeon her way through the density of a people-focused, culture rich company and that is precisely what she would be doing, going into the Senate.

Fiorina has claimed that the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee is backing her bid, though an NRSC spokesman said no official endorsement has been made.

That’s Fiorina all over and though the NRSCC are certainly considering her, they haven’t endorsed her yet – that’s her spin.  Here’s another insight into her:

Though spending most of her life outside of politics, Fiorina is no stranger to the campaign trail, having served as one of then-Republican presidential candidate John McCain’s chief surrogates in 2008.  Fiorina was eventually sidelined from that campaign after telling an interviewer that she didn’t think either member of the GOP presidential ticket was qualified to run a major company.

That may have been true but then again, neither was she qualified, so who’s to judge?  One commenter at Politico wrote:

At HP Carly Fiorina was a walking DISASTER! Seriously, she gave incompetence a new name. There are your screw-ups and then there is Carly Fiorina.

Again, why would anyone in his right mind appoint her?  Pick your pundit – they’re thick on the ground.  A commenter at the WSJ wrote:

Carly was a walking disaster at HP. She took one of the greatest companies of all time and made it into just another corporation. She took excellence and turned it into mediocrity. She was praised for being a woman in the “all boys club” (CEO’s), she was considered intriguing for heading an engineering company without having an engineering degree. But in the end it was just PR.

If the GOP are hellbent on appointing a woman, there are hundreds of actually good women out there.  Try Nikki Haley for starters.  Admittedly, she’s taken.  Elizabeth Farah, Phyllis Schlafly [a most talented woman] … it goes on and on.

These women make women look good. So why not delve into conservative America and find one from there?
