Cameron is a complete and utter prat

david-cameron-bicycleOn yer bike, chum

Sorry to go on about it:

Never mind the detail of David Cameron’s non-referendum package: lots of it has been announced before, lots of it is techy and low-level, and the rest is still too vague to be meaningful. What matters is the message to his party. After years of flirting with the sceptics, Mr Cameron has just faced them down and said: grow up, there’s more to life.

You can see where he got this arrogance from – it’s pure EU style in its smugness.

The true conservatives need to ditch this man and his European hangers-on immediately. What unmitigated arrogance and what a fool – he’s almost singlehandedly ushered in a hung parliament. The pressure is now on Hannan and others to show what they’re made of. Talk about driving the grassroots conservatives to the UKIP.

I wish I were DK or Mr. Eugenides – then I could really get into the invective. As for what we do, let’s get this proper conservative alliance going. We’ve nothing to lose.

  1. I quit the Tories soon after Cameron took over. If you want a more classic liberal/small government party, UKIP’s a better bet.

  2. Hi Tim. You’re still not blogging, right?

  3. I’m considering resigning from the party. I’ve slept on it and am thinking more about it today, as I will have the time. I really thought Cameron was going to be tough on this issue. It appears with him as PM (that is assuming he’s going to get there) a referendum on our sovereignty is not going to happen for at least another 10 years. This really is not good enough and he has managed to alienate the grassroots of the party to such an extent he has guaranteed more arguments over Europe. Fuming on only begins to describe my feelings this morning.

  4. To adapt James I’s statement on Catholic emancipation, once he’d been crowned King of England: “Na, na, we’ll no’ need the Eurosceptics noo.”

  5. A resignation in itself, Andrew, is a proper gesture but only if t is done in bulk. It wmust be the case that it is done in unison, with large names also doing it. I wouldn’t worry too much about Cameron, in the sense that he is just a Brownite and far gone.

Much more important is finding a viable direction for this groundswell, such as Eurosceptics banding together. It may be that the only step is joining UKIP or LPUK and I’m chatting to them at the moment – there are rich pickings in the disaffected Tories.

I can’t blame those two parties for jumping in now – gosh, it’s their duty to. But I think stage one is to see if our own MPs will jump. Forget Cameron in this. We need to put to them that we now need their leadership – our letters need to get through to them. Some sort of online petition.

We are natural loyalists rather than rebels. Let’s channel this anger into something new which really could wrest power from those who have it now.

  6. There are 2 elephants in the room

    1) The Economy

    2) EUSSR

    Tackle both effectively, you win.

Miss on either one, you blow it.

Now select speakers who are skilled and knowledgeable, some in one, some in the other.
    Agree an agenda, a method.
Rehearse, revise, rehearse revise, rehearse revise………
Avoid public debate without damaging image if possible. MSM will NOT be your friend, – choose your media, and interviewer carefully.
Keep in mind established parties have speakers more skillful in debate.

Make distinct promises on both elephants, do not release details until commitments from other parties have been drawn out.

Make sure you always occupy the moral high-ground.

Don’t channel anger, channel skills and knowledge.

  7. There is the opportunity to create an offshore tax haven of solid economics, and solid finance, with links to other (and growing) global financial centres. A quality of life, standard of living, education……power and food security…..

An aspiration totally impossible before, and impossible under the EUSSR.

  8. xxxxl,

Deal with the EUSSR and you get a £6B saving straight away then businesses get rid of the EU regs and straight away you have a boost to the economy that would turn it around.

  9. Lord T

True, Blair gave it away, in return for, ermm, nothing.

    There are so many benefits.

If you, or James ever get into any formal position, in whatever party, etc, I’d be happy to assist in econ, finance, tax, etc.

Time to take our country back.

  10. Conservatives migrating to the UKIP? That’s not where the urban Conservatives that I know are going.

It is true nevertheless that a referendum in six months time will be a complete waste of time, the victory of European Stalinism is a done deal. Politically that is.

Don’t be distracted by the sideshow, this is just the next move in the globalist game.
